Build Something Local. Work On Your Own Schedule. Create An Income That's Yours.
The Perkolator is expanding into new Ontario communities — and we're looking for a few outgoing, community-minded people interested in becoming Independent Community Publishers.
This isn't a traditional 9-to-5 job.
It's an opportunity to represent an established publication in your own exclusive local area, build relationships with local businesses, develop your advertising customer base and distribute a publication that people actually enjoy picking up and reading.
And you don't have to do it alone.
We provide the publication, production, graphic design, experience, training and ongoing support. You provide the local connections and ambition.
Could This Be Right For You?
You don't need publishing experience.
You don't need to be a graphic designer or website developer
You don't need an office, expensive equipment or employees.
What matters much more is that you enjoy meeting people, can build relationships and aren't afraid to talk to local business owners.
This opportunity could be especially well suited to:
-
Someone recently retired or semi-retired who isn't ready to stop being active
-
A salesperson who would rather build something for themselves
-
Someone with strong connections in their community
-
A former or current business owner
-
Someone looking for meaningful part-time income
-
A person who simply loves dealing with people
If you're already the kind of person who seems to know everyone in town, we'd especially like to talk to you.
What Does An Independent Community Publisher Actually Do?
It's surprisingly straightforward.
Your primary role is developing relationships with businesses in your territory and helping them advertise affordably and effectively in The Perkolator.
You'll also make sure copies of The Perkolator are regularly available at established distribution locations throughout your community.
We handle much of the stuff behind the scenes.
We take care of the graphic design and production of the publication and provide the support and coaching you need to develop your territory.
That leaves you free to concentrate on the most important part:
Building relationships with local businesses and growing your income.
You're Not Starting From Scratch
The Perkolator isn't a new idea we're hoping will catch on.
It's an established Ontario publication with more than 30 years of history.
People pick it up because it's fun.
Local businesses advertise in it because it's affordable, highly visible and keeps their business in front of local consumers.
As an Independent Community Publisher, you're bringing that proven concept to your own local market.
How Much Could You Earn?
$2,000+ A Month Part-Time Is A Realistic Goal In The Right Territory.
And there's room to build beyond that.
Your income ultimately depends on your territory, the number of advertisers you develop and the amount of time and effort you decide to put into it.
That's one of the biggest differences between this and taking another part-time job.
You're building your own customer base.
Put in a few hours and keep it small.
Build it into a substantial part-time income.
Or develop it further.
The choice is yours.
